CONFOLENS is situated on the banks of the river Vienne in the CHARENTE region... a land of oak and granite, filled with rivers and wooded valleys. This is an area of outstanding natural beauty....a photographer's or artist's dream. The climate in this region is second only to the South of France. There are many walks and cycle rides through miles of unspoilt countryside.

Our premier double room has a queen sized bed and a private terrace overlooking the old bridge and River Vienne. Each room has been decorated with taste and has the benefit of top quality beds.The showers are spacious and modern.

Open or CloseOur house sits within a large park - like area in the centre of the medieval town. The stone walled gardens sit on the banks of the River Vienne adjacent to one of the oldest bridges in France. The large gardens lead to a beautiful terrace on the river bank.
Our accommodation has been completely renovated, every room has a luxury en-suite.
Pont Vieux chambres d'hotes and gites are located at the end of a 12th century bridge with direct access to the river. The gardens are situated in a tranquil, beautiful park-like area, yet 2 minutes walk from the town centre.
Medieval houses in cobbled streets.... a fountain... an art gallery... this is the Fontorse. Pont Vieux is in the heart of the oldest part of the town steeped in history.
